A scale and key is named each stage — play its notes in order to climb. Keys start with no sharps or flats and gain one more every couple of stages, so it ramps up gently. Each correct note rings out; a clean climb plays the scale rising. Barrels roll down: keep climbing to slip past, freeze and one knocks you down. Three knock-downs and you're out.
